It really does break our hearts to say this, but due to the new, and quite frankly ridiculous EU ‘per HS code / classification’ tariff rules, it has made it almost impossible to correctly calculate duty and fees for orders being shipped to the EU, therefore we have no choice at the moment but to remove shipping services to the EU until further notice.
To make matters worse, some EU countries are now not accepting mail or parcels unless duty is pre-paid, so we can’t even post / ship them out to you, for you to pay the duty and fees at your end 🙁
The USA might be getting some flack for various reasons at the moment, however, it has to be said that their straight forward tariff rule of 10% on the total order value (+ a handling fee) was so simple to implement (once everything was confirmed) and has worked very successfully ever since. We can all agree that tariffs aren’t great, however this works, and it works seamlessly. Why the EU couldn’t do something like this we don’t know.
The complexity of the new EU rules is damaging to business and consumers alike. We even looked at using a courier company to try an bypass the ‘mail restrictions’ but the cost was so prohibitive.
We will keep an eye on things and as soon as we can implement a working and cost effective solution for EU orders we will update you.
Thank you for your support and understanding in this matter.
