To all our EU based brothers and sisters, imperials and rebels alike…
Unfortunately, due to even more changes to EU customs regulations, we have made the difficult decision to stop accepting orders from customers in EU countries at the end of the current 501st term, February 28th 2027.
Like most small UK business (and other businesses around the world too, it’s not just the UK) shipping to the EU has become increasingly complicated and expensive, particularly following two recent changes:
1st July 2026: The EU introduced a new €3 customs duty on low-value imports (orders up to €150), charged per category of goods rather than simply per parcel (which frankly is just ridiculous).
1st November 2026: A further €2 EU handling fee came into effect on imported items, adding another cost on top of existing customs duties and VAT.
These additional charges, combined with increasingly complex customs paperwork, additional product information, and shipping requirements, make it much harder for us to offer affordable and straightforward deliveries to our EU customers…. and lets not forget there is also the new EU packaging directive that that came into force in August that requires compliance too.
We don’t want customers facing unexpected and now evermore rising costs, and unfortunately, as a small business, we simply cannot absorb these extra fees.
Also, we have noticed a considerable drop off in EU orders since these new customs duties came into force in July (which is a great shame but we do understand) but it’s costing us to maintain a 3rd party system just to process a handful of EU orders.. to be precise, 9 last month and only 3 in this current order / production run.
For these reasons, we are letting you know now that we will no longer be able to accept or ship orders to any EU country as of 28th February 2027.
We’re genuinely sorry to all our EU customers, and we really hope the situation changes in the future. If it does, then we will look at opening up to you all again at that point.
Thank you for your understanding.
